Bulls Prep Aims for 4th Straight NAC Title vs Golder

Chicago, IL - The Bulls Prep girls basketball team takes an unblemished conference record into Saturday's NAC Championship.  They'll put their three-year NAC title streak on the line against the upstart Golder Panthers, who defeated DRW Wednesday night in a 40-39 thriller.  Bulls Prep defeated Pritzker, 41-25, in the other semifinal.

Golder head coach coach, Isai Torres, understands the task at hand.  "We know Bulls Prep is experienced and is familiar with playing on this stage. For us, we have to continue doing and improving upon what got us here: playing great defense, setting our offense up with good tempo and championship passing...and playing with an edge."

Torres and his team are appreciative of the moment.  "It solidifies the thought that if they put in the work, if they sacrifice, and put those qualities into practice, they can succeed.  This game is proof of that."

Bulls Prep head coach, Roberto Rosado, appreciates the focus his girls have maintained. "Staying focused and staying on our game plan has been our strength all year.

Rosado is very aware of the increasing strength of the Noble Athletic Conference.  "Going to four straight championship games has been a challenge. It seems to get harder every year.  Our girls are working hard and know they are going to be challenged in every game, especially with Golder on Saturday."

Said Torres, "We feel we have nothing to lose.  In order to beat such a successful program, you have to seize the opportunities aggressively.  We are ready, and we know they will be too.  It's going to be a fun and unforgettable atmosphere."

Saturday's NAC Championship matchup between Bulls Prep and Golder tips off at 2:30pm at Exelon Gymnasium on the campus of Rowe-Clark Math and Science Academy.
